Bran returns with his 3rd studio album. "The King of Dreams" takes us on an exploration of the world of dreams. Hop aboard Selene's crescent moon ship and set your dream-filled sails as "Dreams" peeks behind the star-spotted veil of the night.

The title track introduces you to the Sand Man, the King himself, who takes you along down the Moonbeam Road to show you the realm of the Fae, through time and space, up into the clouds, and even under the bed where the ghosts and ghouls dwell!

Bran adds a few new flavors to his unique pagan folk sound with a few ethereal, fun twists amply scattered through the album.

about

This song is based off of a dream I had in which I sat under a tree and met a half rabbit/half human fairy named Mi Lio Silo. She told me she was a Mindosioloxon (pronounced min-dough-sho-lox-on), and we traded information about our own kind. The dream ended while we were in a garden, and a radio was playing a song I recognized as one of my own (that I never actually wrote), and the chorus said something about bumblebees. When I woke from the dream, I sat down and wrote the song. And just like a self-fulfilling prophecy, I included bumblebees in the chorus!

lyrics

I had this crazy dream last night, I sat underneath a tree
When this big giant rabbit girl came running towards me

We traded hellos and I asked her “Where did you come from?”
She said her kind had a funny name: The Mindosioloxon*

She said her name was Mi Lio Silo, and I had told her mine
We laughed at the absurdity and we walked to pass the time

We walked through the garden where the bumblebees buzz
Mi Lio taught me things
About how different the world really was
How real was the strange, whoa-oh, how real was the strange

We walked the roads up in the hills, looking down on the town
Where the little glowing lights in the big high rise had us looking down

How strange the friendship could really be between a human and a rabbit
We laughed when she tried to pet my head as if I was a pet

We walked through the garden where the bumblebees buzz
Mi Lio taught me things
About how different the world really was
How real was the strange, whoa-oh, how real was the strange

When I had awoke from that dream, I couldn't help but think
There's really no difference that I can see between the animals and me
Language is an unscalable wall except in the world of dreams
Where anything is possible, where the strange becomes reality

We walked through the garden where the bumblebees buzz
Mi Lio taught me things
About how different the world really was
How real was the strange, whoa-oh, how real was the strange
